xbox.com friends list

I logged into xbox.com last night just to check out what games were being delayed this week and noticed a cool little addition to the friends list. The gamerscore. No more do you have to view your friends profile to see their score, it is displayed right next to the name in the list. Handy if your having one of those gamerscore/penis insecurity things going on and feel the need to have the...

A Time for a change

This morning I received a set of Time RXE pedals. To be honest I’ve never really spent a lot on pedals since I could ride a bike. The last ones I got for my road bike were a set of Shimano 105 SPD-SL’s which so far have racked up over 1,000 miles. Last week end one of the pedals started making a horrible noise; the noise that says I’m gonna die soon. So I started looking around for a new set of...

A theme is born

It has been in the back of my mind for quite a while now; create your own WordPress theme. The problem is that I have not really got the inspiration to sit there and come up with something interesting. There are plenty of ideas swirling around in the grey matter, I even started planning out some rough ideas before Christmas but I think they got lost in the post Crimbo tidy up. Every time I log on...

it's changed again

A while back I tried out Joen’s Fauna theme and at the time I was impressed. But K2 kept on calling me back, with her cheaky AJAX powers and friendly support it was not long before I returned to what has been known as home for longer than I can remember. Since the other week when I noticed shibbyonline was a year old I’ve been thinking about making this place my own. It is nice to use K2 as a base...

Good to be stationary again

What a week end. It feels like I’m still only just getting used to not moving my legs round in circles. The last few days were spent in the saddle, clocking up the miles. Total so far 151! Saturday was an early start, it was about 6 when Viv pulled up outside to pick me up. The weather was cold and foggy and not really inspiring me to take part in a 100km Audax. Despite that we set off to pick up...

Hobbies and Social Time

Cycling #Section titled CyclingI grew up on a farm away from the local villages so riding a bike was second nature. There was always enough space to learn to ride and practice on, fall off on and generally have fun on a bike. When the time came the bike was my means of escape, rides down into the villages to meet up with friends and when the birthday’s came it was always the latest shiny offering...

And you can keep your achievements!

Last night should have been one of those ‘lads’ nights when we all get together play console and kick back. Instead I had a meeting with the cycle club so I had to bail. The venue for the meeting was just down the road from Mr. bob g bob house so I decided I would try and pop round after the meeting and admire 360 in full HD glory. So I packed in my MU and Tigerwoods and Madden (two games I really...

Smoking a no-no

Yesterday the British all voted to ban smoking in pulic venues; including private clubs, by the summer of 2007. It was only a matter of time really and all I can say is I’m not too sure about the whole thing. I look at it from two sides, the side of me that has just given up smoking and regrets ever starting is pleased about it, it is surprising how the smell of smoke now makes me feel ill....
