25peeps

I’m on 25peeps.com. It was so long ago I filled in the form I forgot all about the site! I think I followed a link there from Derek at 5ThirtyOne, I completed the form and then waited. The site itself looks quite good and the idea behind it is of course another one of those simple, wish you thought of it, style. The only downside is that unfortunately sex sells, look at the highest ranking...

3k

Thats right, after a ride out in the sun yesterday my bike computer now reads 3,000 miles. Thats 3,000 miles in just under a year, not a record but not bad going for me. BTW That does not include the 800 odd miles I’ve done on my...

Stage 10

Today the Tour de France enters the first mountain stage; stage 10. So far the race has been a strange affair, the big names are missing, the sprints seem to be at a loss and unorganised there is no team controlling the race or setting the pace. The result of all this is that it is a pretty much open board, you have had some unexpected names at the top with some very strange results. But the best...

One Red Paperclip

Kyle has finally done it. One Red Paper Clip One Year One House Kyle has, over the last year successfully traded one red paper clip for one house. Not only that but he gets to mayor for the day. Read his story on the one red paperclip...

Bye Bye 98

Mircosoft is to end all support for 98 and Me next week. Sorry but it looks like if you want to still recieve all those updates and fixes you had better upgrade, or if you really want you can go back to 3.11 and pretend that the ‘start’ button thing never happened. I pick 3.11...

Do you not see me?

What is it with drivers!?! I am cycling along through a local village, this village is a quiet, historic antique village with a very straight road (Long Melford for those in the know). Towards the end I look behind; seeing the car a way back, indicate right and move into the middle of the road ready to cross over. Nothing wrong with my intentions, a cyclist indicating is a strange thing anyway....

What did you do at the weekend?

After my fun time at PC World and a few other chores Lucy and I headed over to see an old friend; Glen. He had invited us to a BBQ (of sorts) so we arrived just before 6. Problem was Glen had planned on building some decking to have the BBQ on, so far he had only sized up one timber to drill into the wall! Despite not being dressed for the event I opted to get stuck in and help. Lucy went for the...

How do they sleep at night?

On Firday Lucy had to visit the local retail park to buy a camera for work. Whilst there she popped into PC World to pick up a Mighty Mouse for me. (yep my S+arck was looking a bit long in the tooth and I’ve been meaning to get a MM for a while) When I got home I opened the outer wrapping of the mouse to find a used dirty mouse inside! Some one had obviously used it, then just put a bit of heat...

Flickr's Terms

I’ve been using Flickr for a while now, the other month it went Gamma which was great as the whole UI is a lot better. But using it the other day I noticed something which got me thinking. When you upload a photo and then go to view it to link it or insert it into your blog you are given two options; the code for a link and then the url to the image, how many people noticed the text beneath...

Farewell Frosty

Today saw the last day of work for Colin Frost at Oscar Products. Tomorrow he and Linda will be catching a plane and setting up a new life in Portugal. It was a bit sereal to see him drive away knowing that he was not just popping out for a sarnie. Colin was here when I started at Oscar and has helped me out no end. I’ve never really been in the whole friendly work environment before but in a...
