What a day, it all started off good, a nice ride into work and then greeted by a brand new Camelbak Havok in the post but on closer inspection of my bike at lunch time revealed a loose back end! I noticed there might be a problem there the previous day on the way home, the back end just felt a bit ‘loose’ and did not track right, but me being me did not investigate, just hoped it would get better....

With the weather getting better by the day I’m getting out on the bike more. Yet last year I was struggling to get all my crap to work in one bag and find a nice comfortable bag to do so! I’ve decided to purchase a new, larger, Camelbak this year so that everything can come with me. I opted for the Havok, which despite not getting a great review so far is designed for the ‘Free-rider’ yet seemed...
I’ve decided to go for it with Tiger. My real concern is about applications not working, yet I realised currently I’m only really using iPhoto and some other Mac programs. I’m hoping these will come out the other side smiling, so what the hey. Plus if you pre-order from the Apple Store you get an invitation to an online seminar showing you numerous tips and trix for the OS, a free chip butty would...
It looks like the wait is over, the release date for Tiger has been confirmed. Placing a pre-order with the Apple Store will mean your copy will arrive on the 29th. Now I only have one question, do I upgrade on the day? All the nice new features of Tiger are appealing, but can I’m done with the standard broken apps and corrupt permissions that are always there during an upgrade? Got a bit of time...
Been a while since the last update and to be honest I’m glad, I’ve spent the last day just not wanting to look at a television or computer screen after the GT4 race. The whole event went really well and it was a good laugh, but I am glad I did book the Monday off work just to make sure. Not really tired but it was nice to finally have a day to just do those things that weeks ends are there for....
Following on from my last post about Tiger, have a look at this link from Apple Insider. Yep, they are still working on updates to Panther but the news about the first maintenance update to Tiger, 10.4.1 looks mighty...
That’s right I’m searching the internet, the news feeds and even under the fridge for any information to the latest release of OSX. According to the Apple website it is due for release the first half of 2005. But on April the 1st, it was announced to have ‘gone gold’ This is basically the final, final release, it has been passed by everyone and is now ready for producing, packing and shipping....
We had a letter through the door the other day to claim that they would finally try to sort out the surface of the road we live on, the plan was to close the road from Sat evening through until Sunday. We did not quite expect the machinery that they bought in to do the job with. Having a tall house, we managed to get a bird’s-eye view of the whole process and have to admit Sean and I spent most...
Today, Lucy and I had a quick drive up to Attleborough to meet Muriel and Keith Barnes, who are currently breading our baby Senegal parrot; Pickle. It was a pleasure to meet them, and Pickle, and I can’t thank them enough. We found it difficult to come away empty-handed, but we know that Pickle is a few weeks off from being fully ready for a new home. So I guess we just sit and wait until then,...
Today was the first day I decided to bike to work this year. Normally, once the weather improves, I near enough live on the bike, but once it turns cold, I just shy away indoors. Friday morning the weather was looking good, but they have planned on re-surfacing the road outside my house so all the cars were is chaos, meaning parking was in short demand. I opted to park the car and get on the bike...
